Overdrive, Save Money & Us

Today's Tips and Someone To Follow:
  • Overdrive - Webinar Today!

  • Save Money - Discounts for employees

  • Someone To Follow - Us

OverDrive
OverDrive is the School City of Hammond's resource to check-out and borrow digital content (like eBooks and Audiobooks).  Students and staff have access to our entire collection by going to https://hammondin.libraryreserve.com/ and signing in using your Hammond username and password.  You can read and listen from any device.  Some schools even have Kindles that students can check out from the library.  Shout Out to Kelly Hladek (Media Specialist at Morton High) and Nancy Batliner (Media Specialist at Edison Elementary) who have been doing a great job making sure titles are available.  If you have suggestions, please let them know!  SCH has been a leading force and has been recognized for our great circulation numbers.  Kelly also presented at OverDrive's international user group conference this past summer.

And, TODAY at 3:00, Kelly will be doing a national webinar for edWeb.net - "Secrets from the Front Lines:  How Schools Can Boost Digital Engagement."  If you can join the session, please sign up:  https://home.edweb.net/webinar/slcforefront20171115

Save Money
We get great deals sent to us to share with all employees.  Almost all of the cell phone companies will give you a discount (up to 15%) if you let them know you work for a school district.  For verification, they may ask for your school e-mail address.  You can also get computer discounts at the vendors we use in the district - use these links:
Dell - http://www.dell.com/mpp/hammondschools
HP - http://hp.force.com/external/state_of_in?jumpid=re_r329_hpdriect_hho
